Wake UP

"And do this, knowing the time, that it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly, as in the day, NOT in revelry and drukeness, not in lewedness and lust, not in strife in envy. But PUT ON the Lord Jesus Christ and make NO provision to the flesh to fulfill its lusts." Romans 13:11-14

Paul tells us it is "high time" to awake! Wake up! Cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light! Christ calls us as Christians to be a light, a beacon of hope in a lost and dying world. If we walk in darkness, how will the world see any light in us? We have something the world is dying to have. It would be extremely selfish of us to have the knowledge of Christ's love, forgiveness, and plan of redemption and keep it all to ourselves. When people look at me, do they just see Megan, or do they see Megan, a new creature, bought with and washed by Christ's spotless sin-free blood? I pray that they see Jesus Christ in me. Put on the Lord Jesus Christ so that you will make no provision to the flesh and so that the world will SEE a physical difference and experience a spiritual change. Wake up! The field are ripe with the harvest (John 4:35) but the laborers are few (Matthew 9:37). We are the light of the world, a city on a hill cannot be hidden (Matthew 5:14).
Don't be like a candle, who's light goes out as soon as Satan starts blowing his schemes on us; be like a glowing ember, that when it is blown on, bursts into flames, not goes out.
Do people see the light in YOU when they look at you? How about when they over hear your conversations? Look at your social media accounts? Everything you do tells people about you. Don't forget that you represent Jesus Christ.

"Let your light so shine before men that they WILL SEE your good works, and GLORIFY your Father which is in heaven." Matthew 5:16
